HomeNet Srilanka National Workshop "Advocacy for Change" HomNet Sri Lanka is apartner of HomeNet South Asia, which is a network of organizations working in South Asia countries to improve the status of Home Based workers. In Sri Lanka , Siyath Foundation has been the focal point of HomeNet Sri Lanka and working toward a national policy for home based workers to improve their socio-economic conditions. So far, Siyath has conducted a series of awareness-raising workshops amongst relevent parties. To futher progress this agenda, Siyath has organized a workshop lobbying for a national level stratergy to facilitate the creation of a conductive environment for ratification of the International Labour Convention , ILO177 (International Labour Organization). This will be held on 26 th March 2008 at the Industrial Technology Institute, 383, Boudhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 07.(Enterence from Vidya Mawatha) From 9.00 a.m To 4.30 p.m. Mr. H.L. Premalal Jayasekara , Hon.Minister of Rural Industries & Self Employment Promotion will be as the chief gest. |
